How We Choose the Deals We Feature
Discounts for Seniors exists to help you find offers that provide real value — not just any discount, and not just because a company pays us to feature it. Before any partner appears on this site, it goes through the same process, described below.
-
Step 1
1. Research the market
We review the products, providers, prices, and senior-specific benefits available in each category before considering any individual company or offer. This gives us a baseline for what “good” looks like in that space, so we’re not evaluating an offer in isolation.
-
Step 2
2. Evaluate the partner
We weigh product quality, customer support, reputation, ease of use, and overall value. A partner with a strong commission but weak reputation, poor support, or confusing terms doesn’t meet our bar.
-
Step 3
3. Review the offer
We check that the offer provides a real, meaningful benefit to seniors — not just a promotional claim or a technically-true-but-unhelpful “discount.” If an offer doesn’t hold up to scrutiny, we don’t feature it, regardless of the commercial relationship behind it.
-
Step 4
4. Keep it current
We review featured partners, links, and offers on a regular basis, and update or remove listings when information changes, offers expire, or a partner no longer meets our standards.
A commercial relationship does not guarantee inclusion
Being willing to pay a commission does not by itself qualify a company for our site. We decline or remove partners that don’t meet the standards above — including companies we have an active commercial relationship with, if that relationship stops delivering value to the people using this site. If you believe a featured partner doesn’t meet these standards, you can reach us using the contact information listed on our About Us page.
How this relates to our Affiliate Disclosure
This page explains how we decide what to feature. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains how we’re compensated when you use a featured offer. The two are related but separate — commissions fund the site, but they don’t drive these editorial decisions.
